So Cristelle had her sweet Sadie Jo three days after Paden J was born and I've got to tell you she looks amazing!! Just seeing her motivated me to get movin.' On her blog she lists what she runs every day and so I thought that might help me. If I've got to tell someone I might stick to my guns. I hate exercising with a passion and I hope to change my attitude because just about everyone I know is doing marathons, halfs, triathalons, dirty dashes, mrs universe(eek) - it's inspiring really and I want to be a part of the cool crowd! Today was a beast and the only thing I could stick too were the hurdle jumps. Thanks to dad for building our very own set of hurdles out of PVC when I was in Jr. High. They were about 4 inches higher than what we were required to jump and I remember at practice jumping way too high to clear that sucker. But the shorter ones were much easier, so it was a little push from my daddy:) The days I can't bear the thought of Insanity are the days I will do a much quicker kick to the pants, Crossfit. Right now I am a 123 lbs soft, my goal is to be 128 lbs toned. It really does make me feel good and I need to remember that when I'm about to throw the tv across the room.
Had some fun at the pool for school today. No, the boys had not just eaten a blue sucker...it was just that cold. PJ was bushed after a couple toe dips. I love how the kids are all playing together but not. They each have there own version of what's really happening and a lot of times they're alone or talking to themselves and it's the best to watch.

So, came home to clean while the boys are at school. But Paden is much too irresistible and we'll dance instead to Of Monsters and Men and laugh at his big toothy smile!
Mmm, don't you just want to kiss me!

The second day of school is always a bit crazy. I think all the mom's agree. After snacks there's no controlling the masses! I think, actually I hope to high heaven, my kids aren't as naughty as they are at my house. Emmett just flat out refuses to participate and Ty always wants to be right in my face so no one else can see. If I say 'You guys are crazy!', that just encourages a spree of cartwheels and somersaults. When I was a kid I always wanted to grow up to be a teacher. I played for hours with my stuffed animals. So I'm happy to fulfill a life long dream, but I sometimes wish they were a little more like my stuffed animals - quiet and still:)
The McMillan girls have wanted to get together for quite awhile to start up a monthly craft day. We finally all found time and wanted to get some Valentines Day decorations done. Pinterest is chuck full of ideas. The two I wanted to do were: a corkscomb heart wreath with a big satin bow and a black and white striped canvas with a pink button filled red felt heart. Darling!! Because I am disorganized, try as I might not to be and always in a rush, I found none of my ingredients and so did a spin-off of the canvas...dark red and white stripes, brown, pink and green button filled white felt heart. Yikes! Not so good. Maybe it's a good thing I don't have anywhere to display my projects! I want a design, crafty bone and I try, but I'm just not naturally good so I always hurry and usually fail. I don't know why I was skipped. Seriously, my mom..genius designer, Tiffany, amazing - in fact Hobby Lobby and Target want her to design a party line! Shannon, super creative. Cristelle, perfect. Ashley, great eye for photography. Anywho it was so fun never the less and I love all my s'sil! Josh called while I was there and asked if I wanted to go on a date. We've kind of been in a rough spot, (don't worry nothing serious) so he was all shy about it...Love him. We went and saw 'The Impossible' and wow what an amazing story! "Luckily" Paden was fussy so Josh and him had to go sit in the corner:) and I could cry my bloody eyes out! I think if something like that ever happened to me, if I was holding my child, there's no way any force of nature could break us apart. I know it's unrealistic but that's really how I feel.  I was so grateful for the ending, when the brothers found each other how intensely happy they were and how I know that's what it will be like when we die. Such happy reunions. How blessed I am to know that! I wanted to rush home to the boys and hold them so tight. Who cares if Ty never listens and Emmett is so strong willed and Paden has blow-outs!
Everyday I think how I need to improve my parenting skills! I really think I'm bipolar and probably suffer from a little SADD. Somedays are great, some horrid. But the book Heaven is Here, seriously gave me a wake up call. I need to slow down, talk to my children and worry and cry and be super crazy and happy with them. I need to remember the little things they do that make me smile daily. Me and my good friend Bonnie were talking the other night while Roman, Ty, Emmett and Jack went nuts in the mortuary. She is so calm and collected and smart and funny. I think she's close to perfect. But we have so many of the same concerns and challenges and worries and sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that has the temper of a 3 year old, but alas it isn't so and I have hope. Your first child HAS to be a rock, for all the learning you do as a parent.
My mom's birthday is today and she is just great I tell you. I wonder, though she's told me, if she had to learn. She's always been amazing to me. I don't think I ever talked about her like other kids talked about there parents. I just have so much love and respect for her and want all of her knowledge RIGHT NOW! We got together for some breakfast and a little shopping. Missed you Ash(and dad!). I'm scared to have girls, but when I get together with my sisters and mom, I want that someday. Hoping the next 3 are! I love that there's no holding back or bitterness. They are my foundation and I am grateful everyday for them. Today we all realized we are going brain dead. I hope we're the 6 crazy ladies laughing until tears come like g'ma and her sisters were...

I so do not mind doing wash at someone else's house! We had a lovely chat, finished a 1000 piece puzzle and boys watched tv ALL day. A minor mess of cupcake crumbs and a somewhat spoiled babe was all I had to worry about.
I have school to plan and boys to wrestle to bed now. They think doing 'math' and 'homework' with a lantern is bed I guess tonight...'and MOM the notebook cannot be placed on the ground because it will get irritated'(Ty:) Oh monkeys.. please let me sleep.

So, note to self...Never take Percaset.ever.again! I was so foggy brained I had to stop taking it. My mouth is not happy with me. My kids have had no real discipline for about a week and the popcorn-cheerio explosion and grape juice stained carpet I had to clean up before school today made me a real joy to be around!
This month I have sharing time, we talked about the creation and those kids are so smart and receptive, makes my job a lot funner. It's a challenge though with my own kids in primary. They have to be attached to my leg at all times if I'm up front. Ty insists on being on his stomach on his chair most of primary and Emmett lays under the table up front. Usually someone takes Paden, but he had a huge blow-out and I forgot extra clothes so he was in my arms and I was out of breath! Needless to say we skipped out of there asap. We did have a great day at school today. Learned the letter R and number 10. It was just what I needed. Ty is so dang smart. Emmett is determined. Our joyschool kids play so great together and it's really cute how the girls crush on the boys. I was always boy-crazy.  Today was just great, though. Me and the boys usually have a fight or two, but besides the school box being emptied, things have been good. I even got a much needed nap. They bombard me with stories all day long and when they're not talking to me they play super hero until they collapse at night. I love being the mother of boys!
I've been so excited for my two besties and Ash finally announced she's prego so I can say something! Brooke, my bff since high school struggled for years to get pregnant and finally had a darling boy, then two more cutie boys and she's getting her girl finally! It's possibly her last since she's had all c-sections. I don't spend nearly enough time with her! She's such a good, calm, fun mom and she always makes me laugh. I'm so glad we're still good friends after all this time. Ashley has the most darling boy and girl, but she's been craving another one for some time. She was away from her husband for four months this summer and was here when mine and Cristelle's babes were born, so she is well deserving:) She is always a pick me up and so inspiring and I am so happy for her to have another baby.
the end.

My boys just made my day.
Conversation with Ty:
Me - 'Ty, I need a hug'
as he's giving me a hug 'Did Paden spit up on you?'
Me - 'Oh man, do I smell like spit up?'
pulling a screwed up face 'Ya'
Me - 'I think I always smell like spit up these days, because Paden didn't spit up on me.'
Ty - 'No, sometimes you smell like sunshine'
Me - beam

Conversation with Emmett:
Emmett - 'I'm never going to leave you mom'
Me - 'oh good, you stay with me as long as you want but someday you'll get married
Emmett - 'eww, no mom'
Me - 'you won't always think it's wierd, you'll find a girl you really love after your mission and you'll want to marry her'
Emmett - 'hmm, okay, I'll just marry you!'
Me - beam

Paden has 2 teeth. Cutest teeth I ever saw!

We are slowly, but surely emerging from a deep fog 'round these parts. Josh and I have had horrible colds. Man this one kicked our heinys! I've been bed ridden for 3 days now(or as close to that as a mommy can be) and unfortunately for Josh he doesn't get to take a day off. We're plugging along at a tortoise pace and it's not helping that dear Paden is teething and is an ornery bum!
Today I was relieved for a few moments when Ty and Emmett were tickling Paden and his cute baby bursts were the loveliest sound. Mmmm. For the next hour they played ship on the couch me and Paden were on. They would jump off, come up for air and ask for their snorklers, then dive down and catch shark for us to eat. They would pull themselves up by my feet and start again, with minor variations. Love it.
On Saturday, the boys had a super fun sledding day at uncle Kent's. Every year he works very hard making an amazing trail for all the grandkids. He lives right up against the mountain, so you start out on a steep 30 foot drop and fly down the rest of his 1/2 acre property. People have hit the house before! It is a riot. Anywho the boys got to enjoy the afternoon on ride after ride. Josh thought for sure they'd be frozen and cranky after the first run left there faces in an ice mask. But Josh cleared the snow away and they burst into laughter and shouted 'AGAIN!' Oh the joy! Hoping I can get up there tomorrow so I can witness the magic:)
