Teton Springs

>
Yep, this was the vacation I needed!! The gorgeous pine covered hills with the tiniest bit of yellow and red peeking through. The breath of fresh air I kept taking because I couldn't get enough of the freshness. The sound of only my breathing while hiking or taking a bike ride. The stillness of nature.
We didn't get off to a good start, me and Ash and Ty and Bostyn, since the car was just not what the babies wanted. Ty especially just wanted a clean diaper and a warm bottle and some cozy pjs, but I was a bit hasty to get goin', so only my needs were met (selfish mommy!) We arrived after everyone was in bed so we got babies into cribs and jumped into the most luxurious bed I've ever slept in! Much to my chagrin Ty woke up and started to fuss and I was paranoid he was going to suffocate so brought him into bed. I just have to say he is an angel and when he sleeps I stare at him. I know this sounds creepy but I just think he is so perfect and I don't want to miss a second of his life!
The next morning we walked around the empty village. The most beautiful cabins you've ever seen set on a golf course and tucked up into the hills. I'm "so seriously blessed" to have such a great family. I am inspired by them.
We went into Jackson Hole later and walked around all the shops. There were some cute boutiques that I didn't remember. Ate at Mountain High Pizza Pie, and I gave Ty a little too much sprite I think (he was naughty that night). So many people were commenting on Bostyn's famous hair (if you've never seen it you must) and strangers were critiquing my parenting skills (I was a little bugged, I'll admit) when supposedly I was feeding Ty's neck! Just look at his beauty and don't make unnecessary belittling comments.(I've been told I'm overly sensitive) This only applies to strangers by the way! That night before games got underway, my sisters tried to help Ty get to sleep, instead they became deaf because of his high pitched wails. I love you for your thoughtfullness to both me and Ty.
Between dad's 10 'sticky things' starting with 'M'(can we say Monkey lips), mom forgetting that 'soda' does not start with 'O', and arguments about David comma King, I haven't laughed like that in a long time!!
We drove into Teton Nat'l Park on Saturday and walked a mile around Jenny Lake. It was so pretty and so quiet. At one point I stopped to feed Ty, and could not believe how silent it was. Teton on one side with the lake reflecting its majesty, Pine and Aspen trees hiding you from view, the chatter of chipmunks and occasionally a small wave crashing on the beach. It was such a perfect moment and I hope to remember it always. To top it off a couple came around the bend and when they saw me they said, 'We wondered how it could possibly be so quiet and then we came around the corner and saw a mama and her cub!' I loved that! I'm glad I shared that with Ty.
We lounged the rest of the day in the cabin or on the lawn. It was invigorating. I felt like I didn't have a care in the world. My house and all the things I had to do never entered my mind. While we ate BLTA's (we found a football size Avocado!) Cristelle took Ty into the movie room and stuffed pillows around him so he could sit up and watch TV, it was the funniest thing to see and made him oh so happy for a moment.
More games and tons more laughter that night with Scattergories, and Wizard(sleeve;). Sorry everyone about my baby crying, more like screaming, when he was so tired! I'll have you know he's back to normal now that we're home, so don't feel bad for me!
I came home a day early because I missed my Joshy who couldn't come because of the horses and work. It's good to be back but my plate is already piled high of chores, etc. and I sure miss the peace of no traffic, and a breeze that carries all your cares away.
Thanks for the fun and memories everyone, love you all!!
