nite nite

It was a big night at the McMillan home. Ty got a big boy bed!! We've been talking about this bed for quite sometime, so it wasn't such a huge shocker to Ty. Last night we rearranged the boys' room and set the bed up. Ty was all excitement and all for helping dad, while mom stood by shouting Hooray! This obnoxious noise put Emmett to sleep and boy was it a deep sleep, he looked as if he had rigermortous(?) His arms were outstretched and every time I tried to lay them down, he would make them even stiffer! Anywho, I read Ty his story and sang some songs, tucked him in and comforted him as I walked out the door. I stood outside the door as he whimpered for two and a half minutes, and then sweet silence. When I came down a few minutes later he had rolled all his blankets against the wall and was lying, arch backed on top. Oh such comfort! I have to be honest, I'm a bit of a baby. I almost cried seeing him in such a giant bed. I remember when he was Emmett size going into the crib.

I've heard people say, the best sound is your children getting themselves breakfast on a saturday morning. Now I can relate, I heard Ty go upstairs this morning and turn on the tv, waiting for further instruction.

Emmett will be transferred shortly from the cradle to the crib, he's already filling every corner but I'm just holding out a little longer. He's been sleeping through the night for 3 weeks now(8 hours)! oh glorious sleep! But he's only 2 1/2 months and Ty was in our room until 11 months(embarassing)... but I'm in no hurry!

Wow he's a chunker!
