A while back we had this eye sore in our house that became the catch-all room and even though the door stayed closed it was always in the back of my mind, disrupting my ch'i. So I decided to tackle it and make it my 'happy place'. I inherited some furniture that fits perfectly and now I feel like it is finally complete.

This is where I do makeovers, sew curtains and read good books, or when I just need to recharge I step in here for a moment and feel much better! This is a no-kid, no-husband zone:)

My mom gave me some cute material and suggested I make curtains from it. I sewed these last night and my kitchen is so bright now. I didn't realize what a huge difference something so little could make. I'm quite proud of the fact that I sewed a straight edge!
