Side note: lost our first aid kit, makeshift bandaid. He was so careful not to touch it, and was very concerned about his nose. He missed a step outside and his nose stopped him:(

We had a fun little adventure camping up in Randolph... actually it was exhausting, but the boys sure had fun. Ty's been wanting to sleep in the 'family tent' for weeks and he was in heaven, slept like a log and come morning, he popped up and exclaimed 'mom, dad!' like he couldn't believe we actually slept in the tent. Oh the joy. He had a scary moment when he had to 'find a log' and the one we chose was a red ant nest and he was covered in 2 seconds head to toe...aaaaah! I was actually more freaked out than him, he waited patiently while we cleaned his 3 layers and then calmly got dressed and went back to playing. I did find about 17 bites on him the next day..boo. We had delicious tin-foil dinners, s'mores and roasted starbursts. The boys brought their bug catchers and caught huge black ants, spiders and butterflies. And of course they were on bear hunts all day long. We had some cow friends come into our camp just minding there own buisness, leaving major cow pies EVERYWHERE! Emmett felt pretty cool hangin with the bigger boys, but had his first experiences with being picked on... watch out for mama bear if you mess with my cub! They loved 'helping' build the fire, finding sticks, running through the trees. I hope it was a good memory for them.

Nothing like a good mama bear protecting her cubs.
