simple pleasures

Ty has about everything you can imagine, thanks to my wonderful family. More clothes than I've ever seen a child have, toys and books galore, the cutest little cowboy bedroom... yet still, I find myself wanting more and more things for him. Everywhere I go, I have to look at boy clothes and toys, the latest in technology for a 15 month old. And why? Really he hasn't worn the same outfit more than 5 times, all his toys are admired for a week or so and then they are dismissed. So, today as I watched Ty pick up plastic pots and put them on a table, take them off and set them on the ground, start to turn, turn back, pick up the pots and place them on the table, over and over, I couldn't help but smile. I cannot force him to do anything other than his little heart desires. Which includes playing with a golf club, pulling all the tupperware out of the cupboard, putting garbage in the desk drawer and his new fav, thanks to g'ma Pam, placing golf tees in a glass jar. How silly to think we can a buy a child's happiness. That goes for me too. Although I think about a new house and a new car, I'm really happiest watching Ty discover life. And you can't buy that!

This was our fun little summer party at g'ma Pam's. The kids enjoyed old fashioned games and yummy food. We had loads of fun!! Thanks marm! (see more here)

Ty loves to jump, so the pool cover made a very pleasant jumping experience...

Sportin' his big bang, he also chipped a tooth:(

What tender thoughts spoken like a true mommy who loves her babe. I love the picture of him reaching for the little sandwiches. Such a fun time!
